About

Treatment Philosophy

MAY is a safe space for everyone. Always.

MAY's guiding values are accommodation and affirmation.

Accommodation

Affirmation

- extra wide, tilting table with 600lb capacity

- elevator access

- peaceful, lyric-free music

- dimmable lighting

- scent-free treatment room

- alternative positioning options such as side-lying, seated and remaining in mobility-assistance devices.

- compassionate pricing for individuals experiencing short and long-term disability (please contact me for more information)

I believe and value your lived experience, your reporting of pain/limitation and your treatment goals.

I acknowledge the effects of marginalization, discrimination, trauma and generational trauma on the body and on the experience of pain.

I will never discriminate on the basis of ability/disability, age, ethnicity, gender expression, neurotype, race, religion, sexual orientation or size.

I will never think that you are complaining, or that you should 'tough it out'.

I recognize my own privilege and unconscious biases and continue to educate myself regarding individuals with different lived experiences.

Hiiiiee! I'm so happy you're here. I'm a queer, neurodivergent woman with a passion for social justice, art, fantasy and cats.

In my spare time, you can find me hyperfixating on my current hobbies (at the moment drawing and crochet), playing video games, mastering vegan/gluten-free baking and planning world travels with my husband.

ps: kudos to the aformentionned husband for the pictures which truly capture me in my ultimate form.
